I rember whatching a video telling u about washingtons battles he fiought in. It had sound effects vibretions in the chairs and snow. It was my favorate thing in washington D.C. It was so cool to watch. When u go to Washington I think u would like it too.
I remember most the lincoln memorial because of how tall it is and it is the same height as the jefferson memorial and the washington monument is 550 ft tall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , Robby Forwood

I didn't go with the fifth graders of HES, but I went with the Kentucky Youth Chorale(KYC). We saw some different things than HES. The thing i will remember the most is the National Cathedral. It is very large. It really is just amazing. I dont ever think i will ever see anything like it again. I hope that I get the opportunity to go to D.C. again sometime. Trevor Dale
I remember one time I went to the Washington Monument and it was the biggest monument I have ever seen. But the tallest thing I seen is the Arch in St.Lwis.
Well i gues D.C was a bit more large then I previously thoght but I guess I also could have been a bit more enthusiastic about it being that capitol, but my favorite were the museums.So many things to see so i guess thats all.
Whenever i went to D.C. the thing that i will most remember is Laying a Wreath at the Tomb of the Unknow Soldiers. I will remember this because it was a very high honor and it is a once in a life time chance.Another thing that i will remember is when Mrs. Tingle fell on me and Emily while we were on the bus...because of Mrs. Frey hahaha ~Madi Miller

I think that the best part was the Washington Monument because that was something that we could touch. We could go into it and take pictures and then when you came down it's hard to beleive that you were up that high. I was high up, 555 feet I would say that that is very high up! Heather Howe

The trip to Washington was amazing! We went to tons of awesome monuments and buildings. One of my favorite stops in D.C. was the Capitol building because we got to see the rotunda which wieghs 9million lbs! No kidding, and the statue on top of the rotunda wieghs 1,500 lbs! I didn't get much sleep in the hotel the first night because Carter Burnnet and Mason Westerfield kept me up for half an hour doing a laser light show on the wall, but we all still had a lot of fun. for all you forth graders who read this... DEFFINETELY GO TO D.C.!

One of the many things I liked were the gift shops! My most favorite monument was the Washington Monument. Hard Rock Cafe was sooo cool! I would love to go back again! I'm also so glad my grandma went with me for her 2nd time. Mama Lane Rocks!!!! She was the best chaperone.

That was awsome! I loved it so much! My favorite part was going up in the Washington Monument. Even though I am scared to death of heights I really liked being able to see so much. It was so cool I can't beleive I got the chance to go up in it. I thought I was not going to be able to do it. My dad was with me and thought I was going to pass out he said I was pale and shaking like crazy. I even started crying. But I am glad I did it. Thank you Mrs. Pevler. I really loved the trip.

I had so much fun in D.C. My favorite place was when we went to Mt.Vernon. The thought of me touching the same rail that General George Washington, Martha Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and many other people was awesome. But my favorite part was when Madi, Tyler, David, and myself got to lay the wreath at Arlington National Cemetery.
My favorite monument was the Washington Monument, George rocks.Their were a ton of statues around the streets.One more thing Daniel's story it was very deppressing but at the same time really cool.
P.S. I can't wait to go back but with my family so they can see the cool stuff to! :]

One favorite part was the bus ride because we watched:Night At The Musuem Battle at the Smithsonian.Another one of my favorites is the Washington Monument.We saw a perfect view of the White House,the Jefferson memorial,the linchon memorial,the Air and Space Muesem.I got some pretty sweet pictures of the eternal flame.BYE-BYE.

Washington,D.C. was so fun, even though sleeping on the bus wasn't. Our trip, or mine, started with Mc Donald's hot-cakes(pancakes). Mt.Vernon was so amzing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)(with vibrating chairs and fake snow) Even though it was raining and the windows in the Washington monument were foggy, I had a awsome time. And I saw Dorothy's Ruby shoes! D.C. was the BEST field trip ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That trip was amazing. I can't belivie how mush fun it was and I'm glad some of my friends came I even made bffs with heather howe!That was my seond fave field trip!I loved seeing the white house it was unbelivieable seeing it! well, I hope the poeple that are going next year have as much fun as me!

I loved the Korean war memorial I just loved the faces etched in the shiny,smooth,and blackwall.I even found the star of david.I also liked the 19 solders.They had such great detail and were all unique there all sooooooo different its soooo cool!Just the way they were organized and their different faciel exprecin
I had a wonderful time as a chaperone on the trip! I saw DC on television shows/movies many times, but it was quite an experience seeing it in person. I was amazed at how tall the Washington Monument was! I loved the Lincoln Memorial. But my favorite memory I take away from the trip was going to Arlington Cemetary. I couldn't get over the rows and rows of white grave markers! The guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier brought me to tears. It gave me such an appreciation of all the soldiers who lost their lives in different wars to protect all of our freedoms.
