Yes it is raining, But the changing of the guards ceremony was
wonderful! Our students were so respectful and well-behaved.

What a beautiful gift today....warm, sunshine-filled weather! Mt. Vernon was fantastic - if only time would have stood still (so much to see). Most of all I am grateful for the 69 children, 9 teachers, and 20 chaperones who are all so wonderful! Tomorrow will be another great day, even if we do get wet!!!! I can't wait to meet Representative Guthrie on the front steps of the Capitol. Feel blessed to share the Arlington ceremony with this group and I am sure the Hard Rock will ROCK!!!! Thank you for keeping up with us on the BLOG and thank you Stacy Frey for creating it!

Just ate some warm chocolate chip cookies. Now I'm ready for a hot shower and some deep sleep. Hopefully, Mrs. Frey will stay on her side of the bed without snoring! Ha! Ready for the next day of exciting sites. I'm looking forward to seeing Audrey, David, Tyler, and Maddie lay the wreath. What an honor!

Today was one of the best days I saw Lincoln's monument with the gettysburg address "Four score in seven years". Trevor Young
